ReplyDeleteWhat does Scout learn from Calpurnia's account of Zeebo's education?
ReplyDeleteScout learns that Calpurnia is alot older than what she looks because coloured people don't show their age very fast and that she is from the Landing and she use to work for the Finches and the Bufords. That is what Scout learns about Calpurnia.
Comment on Jem's and Scout's visit to First Purchase church.
ReplyDeleteWhen Jem Scout and Cal ariv everyone who was walking in to the church parted for them to go on but they only did tis because the children Jem and Scout were white. When they got in there was something they did different when they sang not many of the black people couldn't read so one person sang and the others copied what they said.

ReplyDeleteWhat new things does Scout learn here about how the black people live?
ReplyDeleteScout learns that black people think that they have their church and white people have theirs. Coloured people don't show their age as well as white people do.

ReplyDeleteCalpurnia speaks differently in the Finch household, and amoung her neighbors at church because she's black. When she's at the Finch household she's amoung the Finch's who are white so she speaks like them but when she's at church she's with abunch of other black folks and speaks normally. Thats why Calpurnia speaks differently in the Finch household, and amoung her neighbors at church.
